Last fall the kids and I went to a music class once each week. I didn't take any pictures, but we had fun getting out of the house, seeing some other moms and kids and especially learning fun new music together.
In September, Carina had her baby, cute Aria. We went to see them in the hospital and came to her baby blessing a few weeks later. We also went to visit one weekend and Adam took a lot of cute pictures of her. Some of them are on our other blog. It has been fun to see Carina and David become adoring parents.
Annie was being adorable, too. Her hair was just the right length for her little bit of natural curl.
In October we went to an open house at the fire department and got to ride on a fire engine and see a helicopter up close and from a distance as it took off.
Here's an attempt at being festive with our food for Halloween. The kids helped me and it took much too long considering how late we started making a "quick" dinner of hot dog mummies.
A friend of my mom gave Hyrum a bicycle that needed new pedals so rather than making him earn enough money to buy a bike, we made him earn enough to buy new pedals. Considering how long it took him to do that, I don't think he could have gotten close to buying his own bike. He has had a lot of fun with his bike. And Annie inherited his old trike.
For Halloween, we went to my parents' ward trunk or treat. Halloween was rainy so we didn't go to too many houses, although we did go to several. Hyrum wore a dinosaur costume my mom made for my brother when he was little. Annie was a "princess fairy." I made a tutu from tulle and ribbon, fairy wings from hangers and tights, a quick styrofoam crown, and a couple of fabric flowers.
